So, for context, most of the time when you try to leave a screen not via the path, you get an annoyingly slow case of the Invisible Wall.

Sagi: “The sand is too deep for us to go any further.”

But there is this ONE screen you access by following NPC directions instead, which you need to traverse to get the flame ice “softened”.
The sun is so strong you can magnus it up. Sure.

Sagi: “Wow, the sun feels even more intense off the beaten path...”

Textbox: “Obtained the magna essence [blue text] Mother Sunshine [end blue text]!”

And on that one screen, you can go further left... and find a familiar cave.
This is where Savyna’s sidequest takes place in EW, if you don’t recall.

And a bald-faced lie from Georg since at that point they’re, what, a year away from creating Kalas?

Georg: “Larikush, we have a plurality of most singular guests today.”

Georg: “Just a bit of research. Nothing terribly exciting.”

Anyway he gives us a thing designed to collect hearts. What is this, Kingdom Hearts 2?
Not even remotely ominous no sir.
(Sidenote: I wish long-term items were not clogging up quest magnus)

Georg: “It’s really quite simple. You’d just have to carry this [blue text] heartflask [end blue text] around with you.”

Georg: “That’s right. This vessel was engineered to store away the spirit of its holder.”

Georg: “I hadn’t encountered anyone I felt I could trust with it... until I met you.”

Quest Magnus screen, focused on the Heartflask. “A vessel Georg gave you for collecting people’s hearts. It’s still just a prototype, so who knows what will happen. You’ll need to have Georg inspect it periodically if you want to keep using it.”

I wonder what machina parts for a weird winglet and coral-colored stones add up to. No idea. Who knows.

Inspection text: “A variety of half-built parts have been organized here according to their type.”

Sagi: “Is this a winglet? It looks a bit different than most.”

Inspection text: “Machina parts have been carelessly piled in here.”

Milly: “Ooh, look! These coral-colored stones are so pretty! I wonder what they’re used for?”

Dunno if I’d call that coral but close enough.
(Yes I extracted that mesh back in February because reasons)

Kalas’ winglet as it appears on him in-game. It has a few small pink round gems in it.

This could be random or it could be a wink to the “Oh errrrr where did I get explosives that are typically Imperial? OH LOOK THE PLOT IS THAT WAY” thing Larikush does early in EW.

Inspection text: “This barrel’s contents smell of gunpowder. It’s probably best not to touch them.”
