Short - and possibly first before last - thread today!
I’d just unlocked the Coliseum Advanced fights and gotten my butt kicked by this “Wicked Gawd” thing, right?

So first I tackled the re-runs against bosses, see if that unlocked anything, which it didn’t.
The Sandfeeder is followed by its purple cousin, but both went splat very fast.
The Holoholo bird is second after the Mange-Roche, but summoned no chicks.
The dragon and fish are alone.

Overall, not super interesting fights. I got concerned though because even when the bomb hit them it still missed and did nothing!
… check GameFAQs, turns out it doesn’t work on bosses. Oops.

I also managed to bruteforce / luck my way through the dual dragon + chimera fight (by switching back to my ice deck so oops could have used the bomb there).
They all give decent XP and money but that’s really it.

After which I went back to the Hairy Robot, used the bomb, and basically won the fight as soon as the damn thing showed up. Riveting combat gameplay!
This, at last, lets us buy the mystery reward, which is a photo of Verus

Gena is the one who really needs to see this. She barely says anything and we get a wing feather with unclear effect (I expected infinite dash but no).
Does that mean those grow back thanks to heartenbrace?

We obviously fed one of each of those to Pac, which according to my list makes 147 quest magnus eaten!
And indeed, there’s a new / familiar face in Quzman’s place.
Rabbih: “I seek the delinquency stone. If I could only find it, I could die a happy man.” Rabbih: “This is a replica, based on written descriptions of the original. It supposedly glows in the dark.” Rabbih: “It should be easy to find with this. Now I just need to sneak in there… It could take 20 years, but I’ll do it. Inspection text: “This is a model delinquency stone. The maker copied an existing replica and changed the color a bit.”

When we talk to Quzman, things get weird. The music stops, the same angels who take him away in EW descend, and Pac evolves again. Okay, sure, makes sense
Quzman: “Hmm? What’s wrong? [blue text] Pac [end blue text] is shouting something? Has he eaten one of every kind?” Sagi, as tiny angels descend in a beam of light: “Whoa, what? It just helped itself to our magnus…” Textbox over a black screen: “[blue text] Pac-Land [end blue text] evolved into [blue text] Pac-Mania [end blue text]!” Quzman: “The world is a wondrous place. Here I was thinking it was my time to go.”

Apparently this version doesn’t eat magnus anymore? I didn’t test. The quest reward is another unique item, and that brings the sidequest list to 100/100!
Quzman: “[blue text] Pac [end blue text] has lost his ravenous aura… Now there’s something almost majestic about him.” Textbox: “Obtained the magnus [blue text] The Beast’s Shackles [end blue text]!” Quest List screen, showing all of them completed.

Looks like a pretty big bonus, too? Guess we’ll be testing that soon. Would have been nice if those portraits could have turned again but I guess not!

Near-final completion status.
Sedna is done.
The Gathering will cap out at 650/655 for now because I cannot get all field guide rewards plus a Glimmer and a Hymnos Kune have eluded my trading and couponing attempts.
The field guide can’t be full because I spared the machina trio.

Which leaves only one thing to do. Either beating Baelheit or activating the big elevator got us a new shortcut to Tarazed Control, so not much ground to retread.
