Today: Cloudvents! There’s still a kid with a disturbing fondness for murdering things in there, armed with Iron Beetle 0.1A, so we’ll see how that goes.
Also that soldier who was planning to marry Celsica (No, not that one. No, not THAT one) tasked us with retrieving a crest.

After FIVE TRIES we finally make it past the wind gust that sure seems randomly timed.
Apparently the promised Knights have yet to show up, and there’s still an ominous tank rumbling nearby. But we do find the crest.
Sagi standing by a sparkle on the ground. Textbox: “Obtained the magna essence [blue text] Bloodstained Crest [end blue text]!”

Nasca’s still in his machine, and we can pick a fight again. It’s a bad idea, it goes just as poorly with mass AoE damage and no hope of doing anything from our end.
Nasca: “Why did you come back? You know I have to kill you now.” Guillo: “Sagi! Are you sure we can win?!” Sagi: “How should I know? But we’ll have bigger problems if we don’t try!” Dialog choices: “We have to fight!” and “Forget it, it’s no use!” Combat sreen. The entire party is down with DANGER labels and half their health gone.

If we refuse the fight, Sagi goes for it anyway but Guillo stops him. I’m starting to think Nasca has a few loose bolts.
Sagi summoning his sword as Guillo walks forward. Sagi in battle stance, Guillo standing in front of him as if to tell him off. Nasca: “Having second thoughts? Just give it up! Hehehehehehe.”

If we take the fight and lose, we get to escape unscathed anyway. Weirdly magnanimous.
I wonder if this ever becomes a fight we can actually tackle, hm. (Don’t answer that, I’ll find out)
Nasca: “See? Look at my machina arma. You didn’t even leave a scratch.” Milly: “It’s no good. We’re not strong enough to beat him!” Nasca: “Hehehehehe. You’ll never be strong enough!”

We hand in the crest to the knight. Well they sure have been mostly forgotten 20 years later
Knight of Diadem: “Is this C-Celsica’s blood? So much... Enough to stain her crest crimson...” Knight of Diadem: “No one among us will ever forget Celsica or Rambari...”

I wonder if there’s a translation hiccup here, the possessive does not make sense coming from the Sfida Attendant who is very much an Imperial?
Sfida Attendant: “Rambari, and my beloved Celsica...” Sfida Attendant: “It will be hard on this kingdom from here on with two of its most important people gone.”

Skeed is, of course, being the worst. What else is new.
(I am assuming the Diadem Knight is a case of model recycling and not actually making a statement of any sort)
Martial Arts Tutor: “Young master, for someone so small, your shop is awe inspiring.” Skeed: “Yeah! When you’re this good, a 25-pound weight difference doesn’t mean a thing.” Skeed: “It doesn’t matter that I’m small. I can take care of myself!” Martial Arts Tutor: “Yes, sir! You’re absolutely correct.”

Camilla is indeed ill in so far as she’s still freaking out. Fair enough, I suppose.
Skeed: “I’m training in the martial arts now! Stay back, or you’ll get hurt!!” Vallye: “Mother has fallen ill, but we have our lessons to attend to. We can’t afford to stop for her.” Vallye: “The future leaders of the Empire need to put even their families behind their duties to the nation.” Camilla: “Who is Almarde...? Who IS she? WHO??”

I wonder if this lesson happens even if you haven’t advanced the sidequest and started shit, but testing that would... take a while.
Speaking of sidequests, I took the time to clean up / prep a few more of them so that’s it for this round.
Next time... check Azha, then Verus?
