Today we wind back time and go goof up the numbers on purpose see what happens to Ladekahn’s brilliant plan.
Paololo is secretly a save flower so I got a save in just the right spot.

Heh. Of course Gibari reacts if you pick his (terrible) guess of 30 in the second question.
Gibari: “See! I told you there were thirty of ‘em!”

Over- or under-estimating makes no difference, it’s about accuracy. And as I suspected from the weird flow of the scene, it’s divided in three (top floor, bottom floor, drones) lined up with the questions.

Mess up the first one: the third soldier gets away instead of getting a barrel in the head from Gibari.
Ladekahn: “Oh, no! This isn’t like we talked about!” Ladekahn: “Gib, Palolo, get the two closer ones!” The storehouse, with a soldier running down the stairs.

Mess up the second one: the barrel still happens, but Palolo runs down the stairs instead of gliding down the railing, letting another two soldiers escape.
Ladekahn: “That can’t be right?! Too late now... Gib, can you take them?” Gibari tossing a barrel down the stairs at incoming soldiers. Palolo and Gibari running down the stairs as two soldiers escape. Palolo: “Aw, dammit! They got away!”

Mess up the third one: rather than get “beaned by a barrel”, the soldier escapes with a drone.
Empire Soldier: “Little whelps! Ready for a whipping?” Ladekahn: “Dang it, more dirty tricks. Gib, Palolo, watch out!” A drone charges Gibari and Palolo. A soldier escapes with the drone.

If you mess up all three questions, Palolo and Gibari take it out on each other.
Gibari: “......”
Palolo: “......” Gibari: “Way to go, klutz!”
Palolo: “Nice work, moron!” Sagi: “It’s our fault for not remembering clearly. Sorry, Your Majesty.” Ladekahn: “What’s done is done. But those soldiers are sure to be waiting in ambush outside.”

If you only mess up one or two, the mood is a bit lighter.
Ladekahn: “Darn, some of them got away...” Gibari: “Sorry, I guess my help wasn’t enough.” Ladekahn: “No, it’s my fault for underestimating the situation. You and Palolo did fine, Gib.”

In all cases, Sagi is apologetic but not excessively, it’s hitting the perfect balance of politeness and practicality? Really solid writing in very few sentences.
And anything that didn’t get flattened is waiting outside for regular fights.
Ladekahn: “This time we’re going to need your help. Do you mind?” Sagi: “No, it’s all right. We’ll take care of the soldiers outside.” Sagi: “It’s the least we can do.” Sagi facing three soldiers plus a drone outside the storehouse.

This is actually a really good example of how lower production values (to a point, all the alternate lines are voiced) and apparent clunkiness can be a great tradeoff for modularity.
If this was one fluid scene, it couldn’t have parts swapped in and out quite this easily!

The drone hits like a truck and there’s no special line after the battle, it gets back to the regular plaza dialog once we leave the screen.
That’s gonna be it for this session, going through the same scene five times took a bit!
