Back to the tree! We’ve got... a whole bunch of roots to collect, by way of about ten million Ghost Claws getting murdered.

Mostly it’s the same thing over and over again, with one exception. Poke that torch (how did it get there?) enough and it falls, making Sagi panic and burning off a root section...

Sagi: “It’s swaying like crazy... It could seriously fall over.”

The torch has fallen, fire is spreading.

Milly: “The root... it’s been burned away.”

Dagroots: much less annoying to get especially with this ridiculous three-pack of flyers that’d have stopped poor woodfellah repeatedly.

Guillo: “All the better. Now we can just walk through and take the dagroot ourselves.”

Sagi: “...... At this rate, we’re no better than the Empire.”

Lolo is super friendly to Sagi and Sagi only, but not at all in a flirty way, which just makes the whole jealousy thing weirder?
Also whyyyyy do I have to hand in the quest items one by one, I was able to bulk-deliver cookies earlier so the logic is there.

Lolo: “Sagi, it’s got to be dangerous in the Veinroots. Are you going to be all right?”

Sagi: “Yeah, I’ll be fine. Thanks for asking, Lolo.”

Lolo: “Any luck with those [blue text] dagroots [end blue text] yet?”

Lolo: “We’re still missing [red text] fire, lightning, holy, darkness [end red text] right? Did you have any other [blue text] dagroots [end blue text] to hand over?”

Lolo: “Wow, I’m amazed at how quickly you’ve gathered these. I feel like I could build anything with your help.”

Lolo: “Just give me a second and I’ll throw something together.”

Lolo: “Whew, that should do it. It’s a little rough-and-ready, but it should work.”

Sagi: “This is great! Now we can get to the Veinroots. Thanks, Lolo!”

Alas, the dagroots can be discarded, meaning they are in the “one at a time but renwable” quest magnus category, meaning Pac can eat them, meaning doing every bit of this great dungeon once more. Except this time we can’t pull the monsters away and just have to dodge better.

Milly: “It looks like it bumped into a monster, got frightened, and ran back here.”

Time to go check on stuff since major cutscenes have happened. We literally have an election-stealing sidequest. Great.

The Quest List menu, focused on “Real electioneers chat!”. “He who laughs at a single vote loses by a single vote! Pride comes before a fall! The winners write the history books! Now let’s coerce people into doing the right thing—and that’s vote for us!”

The new tenants have moved in where the parents were fighting! The father is super supportive of letting their daughter play in the wilderness, the mother is... oh no I think this one’s not gonna go well either.
Is this the House Of Dysfunctional Families

Father: “Being full of life is her talent. I couldn’t sit by and smother that, even if it means taking flak for it.”

Father: “I figured people would understand her gifts in this nation of academic rigor and artistic vision.”

Mother: “Nice to meet you! I just moved here, myself. We newcomers have to stick together!”

Young girl: “We just moved here from Sadal Suud. Mom said the reason we had to move was because I’m a tomboy.”

Sagi: “Looks like this came by mistake. Let’s forward it on to Heughes.”

The Sfida Attendant has changed what “news” he has for us again. I guess Komo Mai’s army passed through a different part of the jungle.

Sfida Attendant: “Has something happened? This whole area has gotten more raucous all of a sudden.”

Apart from that, no changes to be found. The ministers are still fighting at the palace, the elections aren’t happening yet, there are still clear hints of tasks to come soon, but I guess the boss fight is the actual event flag. And that’ll be next session!
